Kansas State Football has a couple new faces in new coaching positions this season. The coaching staff and the styles will be quite different this year.

Bill Snyder has had plenty of coaches come and go for over two decades. Many go on to lead their own teams, which is a true testament to what type of coach, leader, and man he is. He is definitely the greatest thing to ever happen to Kansas State Football.

The Wildcats have somewhat high expectations for the upcoming season. They look to build big leads and shut down defenses all season long. Both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball will look different style-wise. We’ve gone over the offense and defense so far, now we look at the coaches.

Dana Dimel is gone after nine seasons as the OC/RB coach. Tom Hayes retired after six seasons as the DC. Introducing your two first-year coordinators, Andre Coleman and Blake Seiler.

Andre Coleman – Offensive Coordinator

More from KC Kingdom

From 2013 to 2017, Andre Coleman had served as the wide receivers coach for Kansas State. He played his collegiate ball under Snyder in the early nineties and was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 3rd round of the 1994 NFL Draft. He is credited with the success of Tyler Lockett, Curry Sexton, and Byron Pringle.

Blake Seiler – Defensive Coordinator

Blake Seiler is a former defensive end for Kansas State between 2003 and 2006. He has been on the staff since 2009. Seiler has already had a huge impact on big-time players that have come through and are now making millions at the next level.

Charlie Dickey – Co-Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line

Charlie Dickey is entering his 10th year under coach Snyder. This is his first year as co-coordinator of the offense. He’s responsible for the careers of Cody Whitehair, BJ Finney, Dalton Risner, and Zach Hanson.

Collin Klein – Co-Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks

A Heisman Finalist in 2012, Collin Klein is a fan favorite in Manhattan. Klein made an immediate impact as an assistant coach in 2017. He has a superb offensive mind and is now solely in charge of the Wildcat quarterbacks.

Brian Norwood – Co-Defensive Coordinator/Secondary

Norwood is brand new to the Wildcat family. His most recent stop was at Tulsa, where his defenses struggled mightily. His former stay at Baylor saw many honorees and All-Americans. He also was an assistant under Joe Paterno from 2001-2007.

Jon Fabris – Defensive Ends coach

Fabris is a defensive end mastermind. He has had 15 players on NFL rosters while coaching the defensive end position. His first stint with Kansas State was in 1997 and 98. He coached up Darren Howard, David Pollack, Quentin Moses, Charles Johnson, and Justin Houston. He also plays a big part in coaching the punt return game.

Zach Hanson – Tight Ends coach

The former offensive line standout for Kansas State now takes charge of the coaching the tight end position. He was a major player in successful special teams units at North Carolina.

Eric Hickson – Running Backs coach

One of the greatest running backs in Wildcat history returns to Manhattan. Hickson comes from Akron where he coached the running backs for three seasons. His presence will be welcome.

Mo Latimore – Interior Defensive Line coach

Mo is the longest-tenured assistant in the country at 35 years. His linemen have performed at a high level under Mo consistently over three decades. The line will be tough yet again as Mo coaches the young guys up.
