Mizzou football has had some great players come through the university and don the black and yellow. Who have gone on to have the best careers in the NFL?

The Missouri Tigers football team hasn’t been great over the past few seasons, but this is a school who has seen some fantastic guys play for their university.

Just this year, the Tigers saw two of their guys drafted to the pros in Evan Boehm and Connor McGovern. The year before that, Mizzou football sent SEVEN guys to the NFL in the 2015 NFL Draft. Seven players!

Right now, there are 22 Mizzou alum playing in the pros, including former quarterbacks Chase Daniel and Blaine Gabbert, both backups for their respective teams.

Before we begin, I’ll go ahead and start by saying that you won’t see the younger guys on this list. As tempting as it was to put the up and coming studs like Justin Britt and Markus Golden on here, neither has the experience yet to be considered one of the all-time greats out of Missouri.

Best Tigers to Play in the NFL – Honorable Mention: Jeremy Maclin

NFL Wide Receiver from 2009-Present

Starting off this list is current Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. I didn’t think Maclin was considered a top ten great for the Missouri Tigers, but he’s pretty well loved around these parts.

Maclin was one of the best wide receivers for the Missouri Tigers and was a first round draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009. He spent five seasons in Philly and racked up 4,771 yards off of 343 receptions and made it into the end zone 36 times.

After the 2014 season, Maclin made his hometown state happy when he decided to come home and sign with the Kansas City Chiefs. His first year in Kansas City saw him go over 1,000 yards receiving for the first time in his career.

To this point, Maclin has over 6,300 yards receiving and 46 touchdowns. He might not be in the top ten just yet, but he’s been pretty darn good and as such, is an honorable mention on this list.
