The Chiefs offense is capable of turning the ball over

Heading into this game, the Chiefs were one of the best teams in the league when it came to protecting the football. Patrick Mahomes had thrown just two interceptions through the first 12 games (both against the Raiders oddly enough), but in this game, he threw two interceptions in the first quarter ALONE.

Mahomes ended the game with three interceptions and while the Chiefs still won the game, it was bizarre seeing the should-be MVP throwing three picks. We knew the Dolphins would do all they could to take the football away and give them props – They did just that against our Chiefs.

The Chiefs didn’t just stop with the interceptions, however, as Mecole Hardman coughed up the football after a first down catch and run. Had the Chiefs maintained possession there, they were trending toward scoring and the game likely gets put away by that point.

Does this mean the Chiefs are going to turn the ball over again for the rest of the season? No, of course not, but it was concerning to see not one, not two, not three, but FOUR turnovers in one game. Somehow though, the Chiefs overcame their mistakes and won the ball game.
