Kansas City Chiefs: Winners and losers from week one victory vs Jaguars
The Kansas City Chiefs won their first game of 2019, but that doesn’t mean it was all sunshine and smiles in a 40-26 victory.
It’s hard to be upset when the offense puts up 40 points on the scoreboard, but the defense caused concern for sure. They did force two turnovers and limited the Jaguars to under 20 points for most of the game. Jacksonville found the end zone late in the game, but by then, the game was out of hand.

Not all games will be like that though. The Chiefs have a tough schedule this year and their secondary must improve if they want to have any shot at winning a Super Bowl in February.
While the offense was electric, Hill getting injured isn’t good at all. The Chiefs offense definitely needs him moving forward. Sammy Watkins can’t do what he did on Sunday every week.
I would have liked to include the offensive line on here for not allowing a sack on Patrick Mahomes, but he did get banged up quite a bit in this one and even limped off the field at one point. Hopefully the o-line continues to limit the hits on the MVP quarterback.
