LOSER: ALEX OKAFOR

Alex Okafor should have had a pick-six in the third quarter that probably would have put the game away. Instead, he couldn’t haul the pass in, as it fell to the ground and the Jaguars retained possession. Okafor did finish the game with four total tackles, with two being solo tackles, but you have to make those plays when they’re gift wrapped for you.

LOSER: CHIEFS SECONDARY

After Nick Foles was injured early in the game, rookie backup quarterback Gardner Minshew got in on the action and had himself a game despite the loss. Minshew threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns against a Chiefs secondary that clearly isn’t much better.

The one interception Minshew threw was made by Frank Clark, so it wasn’t even a cornerback or safety who came up with the pick. While the Chiefs didn’t game plan for Minshew, there’s no excuse for a rookie backup throwing for nearly 300 yards against a perennial Super Bowl contender.

Some guy named DJ Chark was able to rack up 146 yards receiving and Dede Westbrook nearly had 100 yards himself. The Chiefs have to get better in the secondary and after one game, that didn’t seem to be the case.
