Nebraska Football: All-Time Leaders in Receiving Yards
ALL-TIME LEADERS IN RECEIVING YARDS FOR NEBRASKA FOOTBALL
NUMBER 1 – STANLEY MORGAN JR. (2,747)
HUSKER WIDE RECEIVER FROM 2015-2018
Ayyyy! It’s Stanley Morgan Jr! Any Nebraska fan should remember Morgan considering he just finished off his career this past season. It was one hell of a career too.
Morgan’s final career numbers were 189 receptions for 2,747 yards and 22 touchdowns. He was able to break Kenny Bell’s record of most receptions and receiving yards and we all remember how good Bell was. That shows how crazy good Morgan was.
Morgan was a class act on and off the field. When the Huskers parted ways with Mike Riley after the 2017 season, it would have been easy for Morgan to have transferred away from the program since he wasn’t sure what role he’d play in Scott Frost’s offense.
Well, we were all glad that Morgan stayed in Nebraska for his senior season, as he was the first Husker to go for over 1,000 yards in a single season ever. He came oh so close to doing so as a junior in 2017, but missed it by 14 yards.
This year he needed 77 yards in the team’s final game to reach 1,000, but you better believe Frost and Adrian Martinez made sure Morgan got the ball. He got to 1,004 yards on the year, which was a great way for Morgan to finish his Husker career.
A class act always, Stanley Morgan Jr. currently sits as the all-time leader in receiving yards for Nebraska football and there couldn’t be a guy more deserving.
