Nebraska football has been fortunate to have all of these great receivers and running backs come through Lincoln over the years.

We can see how the sport of football has truly elevated to a passing game, as almost all of these Huskers played in Lincoln over the last decade. Matt Davison was the only Husker to have been on the team in the 1990s while Johnny Rodgers was the only one to come from the 1970s teams.

More from Nebraska Cornhuskers

Two of the top three donned Nebraska uniforms within the last five years, with Kenny Bell sitting at number two and Stanley Morgan Jr. landing at the top spot. Only one current Cornhusker makes the list and that’s JD Spielman, who very well could claim the top spot from Morgan by the time his Nebraska career is over.

Spielman currently has 1,648 yards, making it very realistic for him to pass Morgan in the next two years. With Adrian Martinez as his quarterback, that’s not a crazy thought at all.

While Nebraska has usually been more of a run-first offense, these wide receivers proved that that hasn’t always been the case. Hopefully we see some movement on the list in the next year or so and some of the youngsters make appearances this time next year.

Go Big Red!
