This game has a high probability of being an air raid attack by both offenses, especially if Melvin Gordon doesn’t play. Both teams might be counting on their third string running backs to carry the load on the ground.

More from KC Kingdom

Only one of those two third stringers is a viable play, however. Justin Jackson has seen playing time over the last two weeks while Damien Williams really hasn’t. That’s the difference in why I trust one as a starter and not the other one.

The quarterbacks are both easy plays, but we’re well at the point where Mahomes is a known starter. People learned he might be the real deal in week one against this very same Chargers defense.

Speaking of defense, neither is a good option for fantasy football on Thursday night due to how high-flying both offenses are. KC’s defense might force turnovers and get sacks, but the amount of points they surrender is problematic.

The Chargers are normally okay defensively, but the Chiefs are just THAT good on offense. Steer clear of the Bolts D in this match-up.
