Alex Delton is reportedly being trusted to jumpstart Kansas State’s offense

Not much has really worked for Kansas State offensively this season. The Wildcats have appeared rather inept across the board and don’t seem to have much going for them on offense. Bill Snyder apparently believes that Alex Delton is the Wildcats’s answer to those offensive woes. Or, well, he at least thinks that Delton gives K-State a better shot to move the ball up the field more consistently.

We’re about to find out whether or not he’s right.

Last season, Delton performed well at times and was crucial for the Wildcats in several notable wins. In the games against Texas Tech, UCLA, and Oklahoma, Delton ran for 323 yards and six touchdowns on 57 carries. He threw for another 363 yards and three touchdowns against two interceptions. He completed 73 percent of his passes along the way as well.

In those three games, Delton wasn’t necessarily the best quarterback in the world. He wasn’t expected to be. Nobody is thinking that he’ll tear apart secondaries on a regular basis. However, Delton gave the Wildcats a shot to win each of those games and Snyder is apparently going with him moving forward.

We’re going to see how that plays out for the Kansas State football team against Texas.
