BAD: RUN GAME

Okay, I know Kareem Hunt had two rushing touchdowns, but otherwise, the run game wasn’t all that impressive. Hunt managed just 44 yards off of 18 carries while the run game as a whole totaled just 77 yards on 28 carries.

The rushing attack hasn’t been up to par all season and this was actually the first time in 2018 where the Chiefs recorded a rushing touchdown. Hunt did manage to have some big runs near the end of the game to run the clock down and that was huge for the Chiefs.

Opposing defenses are going to figure out Mahomes and how to limit him eventually, so it’s important that when that does happen, the run game is there to help move the chains for the Chiefs. Hunt is still a great running back and he proved that on that final drive, the Chiefs just need to keep feeding him the ball.

Hopefully we see an improved run game next week against a Broncos defense that has some weaknesses when it comes to stopping the run.
