The Kansas City Chiefs are 3-0 after defeating the San Francisco 49ers 38-27 at Arrowhead Stadium. What was good, what was bad, and what was ugly in the third game of the regular season?

Well, the end of the game made Kansas City Chiefs fans a little more nervous than anticipated (despite being up by double digits), but the good guys reigned supreme and moved to 3-0 on the year. This looked like it was going to be a route early on, but the Chiefs offense finally slowed down a bit in the second half.

With another game in the books, let’s check out the good, the bad, and the ugly in the KC Chiefs’ 38-27 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

GOOD: FIRST HALF OFFENSE

As I mentioned a bit ago, it looked like the Chiefs were going to run away with this game in the first half. Kareem Hunt rushed for two touchdowns and Patrick Mahomes threw for three touchdowns while breaking Peyton Manning‘s record of most touchdowns through the first three games.

Mahomes continued to spread the football around, connecting with three different players on his touchdown passes. Chris Conley, Demetrius Harris, and Sammy Watkins all got in on the action there.

It was 35-7 in favor of the Chiefs at half time, but things slowed down for them in the second half. Still, the first half offense was on fire and belong in the GOOD category.
