It was tough narrowing this list down to five, as the Chiefs have several tough games slated for 2017.

You might have noticed that I left the Denver Broncos off of this list and it really shouldn’t be all that shocking. The Broncos had a down year in 2016 (yet still went 9-7) and the Chiefs swept them in the process.

More from KC Kingdom

The Chiefs will get the Broncos in primetime on Monday Night Football, but it’ll be at Arrowhead Stadium. The second time they’ll face them will be in the final game of the season in Denver. While that game could end up deciding who wins the AFC West, I think the division will be figured out by that point.

KC also has to travel to Houston for a Sunday night game, but as we saw last year, the Texans aren’t scary on offense. They did beat the Chiefs in week two of the regular season, but had that game been played later on, Kansas City would have won in a landslide.

The Chiefs get to face the Bills this year, which has been a team that has felt like a division rival. Last year the two finally got a break from seeing each other after eight straight years of facing off, but they’re back on the schedule this season.

I felt like this list was a pretty good selection of toughest games. The Patriots game will be an automatic loss, but the other ones the Chiefs certainly have a shot at winning.

What do you think, Chiefs Kingdom? What games on next season’s schedule scare you the most?
