Three Tight End Set

The Kansas City Chiefs offense has not been a dynamic threat over the past few years.  That has been a bit frustrating for Chiefs fans who expected more from Andy Reid.  However, that may be set to change this year as the Chiefs have a very interesting threat.  Kansas City has an incredibly athletic trio of tight ends that could present problems to their opponents.

The Chiefs wisely gave Travis Kelce a contract extension this offseason, locking him up long term.  The team also extended third year former basketball player Demetrius Harris after Harris showed major progression in 2015.  The Chiefs completed the group by adding another basketball player, the surprising Ross Travis, to the mix.  Now KC has a group of players that can create havoc against opponents.

Kansas City will utilized this trio of tight ends all over the field and in a variety of situations.  The Chargers don’t have much in the way of good match-ups to defend against this group.  Sunday should provide an excellent opportunity for Alex Smith to build confidence with this new wrinkle to the offense.
