Offensive Line

The Kansas City Chiefs finally went a full preseason with one set starting offensive line.  That is a huge difference from past seasons where the team mixed and matched its way to the start of the season.  It is no coincidence that the offensive line struggled in those seasons.

The Chiefs made a huge investment in the offensive line by adding Mitchell Schwartz to the mix.  While Schwartz should be just fine, the rest of the line does have some questions.  The big question involves rookie left guard Parker Ehinger.  Ehinger caught some flak from Chiefs fans and media in the preseason for a rough game against the Rams, despite playing well otherwise.

The Chiefs need the offensive line to play well this year to help the offense take a step forward.  Parker Ehinger especially will get a good test this week as he faces off against Corey Liuget.  Apart from that though, the Chargers don’t particularly bring much of a threat from their front seven and pass rush.
