Possible Landing Spots for Aaron Murray – Number 5: Denver Broncos

This one is pretty unlikely, as the Chiefs obviously wouldn’t do business with a division rival. The only way the Broncos would pick up Murray would be if Kansas City had to cut him, which is a possibility for sure.

The Broncos announced on Monday that they were planning on rolling with Trevor Siemian as their starting quarterback this season. They also have Mark Sanchez on the team still (nobody wanted to trade for him apparently) and Paxton Lynch is on the team, but is a rookie.

If Siemian struggles down the stretch, maybe the Broncos give Murray a call.

Yes, Denver needs a quarterback, but if they’re already planning on starting a guy with zero experience, I doubt they’d pick up yet another guy with zero experience in the NFL.

Say the Chiefs do let Murray go and he stays a free agent for awhile. If Siemian struggles down the stretch, maybe the Broncos give Murray a call.

I’ll say it right now… There are really only three teams that would make sense to target Murray, and Denver is not one of those three. They’re included here mainly due to their need for a quarterback, and maybe to stick it to the Chiefs a little bit should Murray make something of himself in the Mile High city.
