Kansas City Chiefs: Who Will Be The Number Two Receiver
Mandatory Credit: John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports
There’s still time for the Kansas City Chiefs to sign another receiver in free agency that could help out Smith and the passing game. Some of the bigger names are ones like Hakeem Nicks and Reggie Wayne, but then you have ones like Robert Meachem and Lance Moore.
Wes Welker would be an option worth looking at. The only problem with Welker is the fact that he gets hurt a lot, and that’s a pretty big problem. Welker would, however, be a nice veteran to add to the team.
Nicks would be another option, but the Chiefs might not have the money to sign the former Colt and Giant.
Guys like Meachem or Moore would be nice, but I’m not sure either is the long-term solution for that number two spot.
Overall, if the Chiefs draft a receiver in the first round, you might have to think he’ll be a starter in 2015.
Who do you think should start at the number two wide receiver spot next year?
