More from KC Kingdom

In 2004, Johnson became a house hold name among NFL fans everywhere. There was no sophomore slump for him. He finished with 79 receptions, 1,142 yards, and six touchdowns.

After a stellar season, Johnson was named to the first Pro Bowl of his career in only his second season in the league.

2005

After a career year in 2004, Johnson had a rough year in 2005. He only appeared in 13 games due to injuries, and was only able to produce 63 receptions, 688 yards, and two touchdowns.

Johnson’s underwhelming season was just one of the many disappointments for the Texans in 2004 as they finished with a franchise worst record of 2-14.

2006

Johnson returned healthy and ready to go in 2006 and had another exceptional season. He finished with 103 receptions, 1,147 yards, and five touchdowns. The 103 receptions by Johnson in 2006 were the most by any player in the NFL.

Johnson was voted to the second Pro Bowl of his career in his fourth year in the league.

2007

Prior to the 2007 the Texans signed Johnson to a six year contract extension worth $60 million.

The injury bug struck Johnson again in 2007, and he was only able to appear in nine games. Johnson was still able to produce 60 receptions, 851 yards, and eight touchdowns. His 94.6 receiving yards per game were the most for any player in the NFL.
