2. Dontari Poe Is A Special Player

Though the Chiefs did give up over 200 yards rushing, they were able to come up with crucial stops and Dontari Poe was on the forefront of most of them. Poe registered his 5th sack of the season yesterday, when he dropped Russell Wilson for an eight-yard sack late in the fourth quarter.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Poe now has set a career high in sacks (previous was 4.5 in 2013) and still has six games remaining to do more damage.

He was stout against the run too, especially in certain situations. Poe totaled three tackles, two solo including a stop for a loss and two quarterback pressures. The combination of his size and speed makes him one of the best interior defensive lineman in the NFL.

He is quick and athletic off the line, strong enough to push blockers back, and fast to enough to pursue plays from behind. His motor seems always to running, and his stamina is incredible as he take few plays off.

What a pick he’s been for this Kansas City defense that still has yet to give up a rushing touchdown.
