When looking at the KU Football Twitter page, one would see crawfish cooking on the grounds of Memorial Stadium. Tony Hull has got the whole KU crew boiling some down south cooking for those newly signed Louisiana recruits.

Kansas Jayhawks football recruiter Tony Hull is starting to show why he is pulling in those Louisiana recruits. He’s reeling them in with a little homemade cooking that makes Lawrence these Louisiana recruits’ home away from home, Hull may be sending a bribe to the rest of the kids in the Big Easy.

After a flurry of Louisiana recruits committed to Kansas for the 2018 season, the college football community was in shock and awe. How did this once winless football program snatch up some of the top recruits down South? Well, the answer is Tony Hull.

Tony Hull was once a Louisiana high school coach. He took his teams from rock bottom to State Championships. Hull even continued to evolve his teams beyond the hardships that occurred during Hurricane Katrina. He is a unwavering hero down South, which, beyond the crawfish, is another reason why the New Orleans native has got Louisiana recruits signing away.

Recently earning a well-deserved associate head coach promotion, Tony Hull is a huge component to the Jayhawks. He is proving to be a worthy opponent against the recruiting networks of major SEC programs. As long as the pot keeps bubbling and the creole keeps on coming these recruits should keep watching.

Good Things Coming?

More from Kansas Jayhawks

Hope is abound for the Jayhawks next season as they threaten contention in the Big 12. With the Louisiana influence and the recruiting power Tony Hull is creating it is hard for any KU Football not to be hopeful. However, it’s not just the efforts of the star recruiter that are worthy of note.

Along with the current signees of the 2018-19 season, Kansas is rebounding and reloading with offensive coordinator Doug Meacham. Doug Meacham should bring the air raid offense to Kansas and improve quarterback play with JUCO transfer Peyton Bender.

The new facilities, the promise of starting positions, and the feeling of home are strong draws for any recruits. Plus, the Cajun cooking makes even myself want to take a trip to Memorial Stadium for a plate.
