The Kansas City Chiefs have six more games in the 2016 regular season and all six of them will be tough match-ups for the 7-3 Chiefs.

At 7-3, the KC Chiefs look to be in good position to make it to their second consecutive postseason. The problem, however, is that the easy part of their schedule is over with, and the Chiefs will now face winning teams (well, mostly) down the stretch.

First up will be the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football in Denver this upcoming weekend. The Chiefs don’t typically play well in the bright lights of primetime, but this Denver team is certainly beatable.

If Kansas City can win that game, they’ll be back onto their winning ways and will have an 8-3 record as opposed to 7-4. They’d also be 3-0 in the AFC West, something that will likely prove to be huge as the season progresses.

While no game in the NFL is considered “easy”, the Kansas City Chiefs certainly don’t have a favorable schedule heading towards the finish line.

In week 13, the Chiefs will hit the road for the second straight week when they head to the Georgia Dome to face the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are one of the hottest offensive teams in the NFL and this will be a tough game for Kansas City.

One, it’s a road game, and two, it’s against a tough offense. While the Chiefs defense has been pretty good so far this season, they’ve had some stinker performances. It wouldn’t be too crazy for Matt Ryan and Julio Jones to carve this Chiefs defense up.

Week 14 will begin a home field streak for the Kansas City Chiefs, as they’ll kick it off with a Thursday Night Football game at Arrowhead. They’ll welcome in the Oakland Raiders for that game, and the Chiefs will look to sweep the Raiders for the second straight year.

The next week will bring the Tennessee Titans to Arrowhead and this could be another trap game for the Chiefs (much like the Buccaneers game was). The Titans are a heavy run team and the Chiefs have a terrible run defense. It could be a long day on the ground if Tennessee gets DeMarco Murray going.

More from KC Kingdom

Kansas City’s last home game of the season will be a primetime affair against the Denver Broncos. It’ll be the fourth Chiefs primetime game this season and the second in five weeks. It’s once again against the Broncos, and the Chiefs will get to host them on Christmas night at Arrowhead.

The final game of the regular season will be against the same team the Chiefs faced in the season opener – the San Diego Chargers. San Diego blew that game at Arrowhead and will be looking to redeem themselves at home and to potentially knock the Chiefs out of a playoff spot.

While no game in the NFL is considered “easy”, the Kansas City Chiefs certainly don’t have a favorable schedule heading towards the finish line. They’ll have four divisional games to go along with a tough NFC South game and a game against the run-heavy Titans.

With the Chiefs slipping up against Tampa Bay, they have to win as many as these upcoming games as possible. If they can win two of their next three (preferably the ones against Denver and Oakland), then they could still be in good position to win the AFC West.

Nobody said it’d be easy, but the KC Chiefs are hoping to be playoff bound for the second straight season and all that’s standing in their way are six more games.
