KC Chiefs News: No Love For Justin Houston And The Chiefs

facebooktwitterreddit

KC Chiefs news about Justin Houston recently has focused on his holdout, but Thursday it centered more around the fact that the linebacker was underrated in a top 100 NFL players’ list.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Let’s just say it, Justin Houston is much better than the 27th-best player in the NFL.

You believe that unless you helped put together the NFL’s 2015 top 100 list. Numbers 30-21 were released Thursday, and Houston found himself behind two other defensive players — just in that group of 10.

There are plenty of articles below that will explain why that ranking, although meaningless in the grand scheme of things, is insulting to the fifth-year pro.

But it wasn’t just Houston who was getting no love, it was the entire team. Sports Illustrated put together a piece that said San Diego has a better shot at dethroning Denver from the top of the AFC West, than Kansas City.

If you came here looking for actual Chiefs’ football news, there is some of that below as well.

"If Justin Houston is the 27th-best player in the NFL, the talent level is at an all-time high.If you lead the NFL sacks, and come up just one short of the single-season NFL record, it would make sense for fans to consider you a top five defensive player — at worst."

"I am biased when it comes to the Kansas City Chiefs. They have been my team since I got into the NFL as a kid, and I have faithfully supported them every season since that time. I have seen them go 13-3 and 2-14, and it did not matter. The Chiefs are, and will always be, my team."

Should The Chiefs Re-Sign Joe McKinght [KC Kingdom]

"One of those season ending injuries was to running back Joe McKnight, who up until last year, hadn’t experienced a ton of success in the NFL. After being drafted in the fourth round by the New York Jets in 2010, McKnight failed to score a touchdown during his three seasons there and was released before the 2013 season."
