KC Chiefs Mock Draft 3.0

Round 6: Pick 180 – Drake Jackson, OL (Kentucky)

833. . Offensive Lineman. Wildcats . Drake Jackson. 180. player

The Chiefs addressed the tackle position earlier on Day 3 of the draft, but they decide to add an interior o-lineman later on in the day. Drake Jackson might not be a big name, but he was a force on Kentucky’s offensive line and would give the Chiefs their center of the future.

With Austin Reiter hitting free agency, the Chiefs might not have a solid replacement option at the center position. Nick Allegretti is an option there, but if the Chiefs did take Jackson and he played well in training camp and preseason (assuming the games are played this summer), maybe he can be a starter right out of the gate.

Having a solid starting center is pivotal and Jackson would give the Chiefs that piece on their o-line. He’d be a really good value pick late in the draft and would fill a major area of concern for this team moving forward. This could be a really smart selection.
