Defensive Linemen for KC Chiefs to Target – J.J. Watt

Okay, this one might be a little unrealistic simply due to the cost, but wouldn’t it be fun to see J.J. Watt in a Chiefs uniform? For years, Watt was the best defensive player in the entire league and while he’s seen his fair share of injuries since then, he’s still very good. He even played a full season in 2020 and still looked like he had plenty left in the tank.

The chances of Watt coming to KC are probably pretty low considering they don’t have a lot of spare cash and he’s probably more interested in playing with his brothers (Pittsburgh), in the same city where his wife plays (Chicago), or near his hometown (Green Bay). If, however, Watt wants a ring, the best landing spot for him would definitely be the Kansas City Chiefs.

Defensive Linemen for KC Chiefs to Target – Alex Okafor

I discussed Alex Okafor a bit on the first slide, but re-signing him would be a nice move for this team in 2021. Okafor was an effective player on the defensive side of the ball, notching eight sacks in two years. He didn’t start any games in 2020, but he made it count when he was on the field.

The biggest issue with Okafor was that he was prone to the injury bug. That could discourage the Chiefs from bringing him back. It’s also possible that Okafor priced himself out of KC’s range.
