Teams that KC Chiefs fans don’t want to land Deshaun Watson – No. 3: Raiders

The AFC West already has Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert, but adding Deshaun Watson to it would make it an even tougher climb to the top of the division for the Chiefs. The Raiders have Derek Carr as their quarterback and also signed Marcus Mariota last offseason, showing they weren’t 100% in on Carr moving forward.

There’s been uncertainty with Carr’s future as a Raider since Jon Gruden got to town and you better believe if Vegas had a shot at landing Watson, they’d go all-in for him. People might think it’s weird that I only have the Raiders at No. 3 considering they’re in KC’s division, but with how bad the Raiders’ defense is, this wouldn’t be nearly as scary for the Chiefs as the top two would be.

Watson would have 2020 first-round pick Henry Ruggs at his disposal along with tight end Darren Waller while also having one of the best running backs in the league in Josh Jacobs. He’d have a lot of talent offensively, but as I mentioned, the Raiders defense is still a train wreck and needs a lot of work this offseason.

Watson just doesn’t scream “Raiders” to me, but you never know what kind of tricks Jon Gruden has up his sleeve. Would he give up everything to land Watson?
