Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh Steelers. 1. player. 55. . AFC North

Yes, the Pittsburgh Steelers nearly lost to the pitiful Dallas Cowboys last week, but come on – They’re a good team. They’ve proven that by not losing a game this season and being on top of the toughest division in the AFC.

The Steelers won’t come out of the season without a loss. They still have rematches against the Ravens and Browns as well as games against the Bills and the Colts. There’s probably at least two losses in there somewhere (or hey – maybe they lose to a lesser team like the Bengals or Jaguars).

Regardless, right now the Chiefs are looking up at Pittsburgh in the AFC standings and it’s not a fun feeling. With only one bye awarded in the playoffs now, getting the No. 1 seed is as important as ever. The Steelers have gotten to 8-0 because of their stingy defense and the fact that their offense has rookie sensation Chase Claypool.

While the Chiefs are a better all around team than that of the Steelers, as of now Pittsburgh would host the Chiefs in the AFC title game should the standings play out the way we’d expect them to. If that happened, Patrick Mahomes would be able to make plays against the Steel Curtain, but this would be one of the toughest defenses he’s ever played against in his career.

Pittsburgh isn’t as scary as they once were after seeing Dallas nearly beat them (something called a Garrett Gilbert almost handed them their first loss of the season), but that defense is legit. If any team can knock off KC in the playoffs, it’s the Pittsburgh Steelers.
