Wide Receiver. Tennessee Titans. Corey Davis. 84. player. 35.

Start of the Week: Corey Davis, WR, Tennessee Titans

This may be one of the grosser start of the weeks that I have ever had, but I truly think that Corey Davis has a fantasy impact this week. The Indianapolis Colts aren’t exactly giving up a lot of points to fantasy wide receivers right now, but that is going to work in the favor of Davis. The Colts are giving up the absolute fewest points to TE’s and QB’s this year, but are a little more forgiving to WR’s coming in at the 10th best fantasy defensive against WR’s.

Top 10 definitely sounds foreboding, but they are closer to the middle of the pack than they are first, and that means Davis is going to have some room to work. Davis has been healthy for six total games this season. In those six, he has been over 10 fantasy points in five, averaging around 17 fantasy points in each contest. His last game, however, was a big fat goose egg, as he didn’t tally a single catch.

That may scare you off of Davis, but it shouldn’t. Last week was an outlier game, and Davis only received three targets because Ryan Tannehill didn’t break 20 pass attempts until late in the fourth quarter. That game was an anomaly, so expect Davis to see an uptick and targets and a big uptick in production this week against a team that will need to focus on stopping A.J. Brown and Derrick Henry.
