What did we learn about the KC Chiefs?

This was such a weird game for Kansas City because the offense really didn’t look that good, the defense got run all over, and Harrison Butker missed an extra point yet again. Even with all of that in mind, the good guys still won the game by 27 points.

Mahomes only threw for 200 yards and the team as a whole was terrible on third down conversions. It was a bit concerning to watch, but at the same time, the rest of the team stepped up and did their part. Daniel Sorensen had a pick six, Byron Pringle had a 102-yard kickoff returned for a touchdown, Tyrann Mathieu had an interception, Chris Jones had a big sack, and even Chad Henne got in on the action with a late game touchdown run.

It really was an all-around team effort and it was good to see the defense and special teams pick up the offense when they weren’t having the kind of day they’re used to. That’s what we learned about the Chiefs this week – They can win even when they’re not at their best. That should scare the other 31 teams in the league for sure.

Next up: The Chiefs host the 0-7 New York Jets in the early window of games in what many are going to assume is an automatic win. Don’t sleep on a winless team hungry for a win, even if it is the hapless Jets.
