These were the only two games played in the AFC West this week, as the Chargers and Raiders were on byes.

The Chiefs and the Broncos both won and while the AFC West is still Kansas City’s until someone pries it away from them, the Chiefs have to continue to be the team we saw in Week 6 and not in Week 5. They were far and away the better team against the Bills and they did it in a different way, which was running the ball. It was nice to see.

Between these two AFC West games, I was most looking forward to the Chiefs/Bills match-up because of how good the Bills looked in the first four games of the season. Kansas City made them look like the Bills teams of old though and that’s what you want to see happen any time the Chiefs face a potential contender in the AFC. They want that No. 1 seed in the playoffs.

AFC WEST STANDINGS

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (5-1)
  2. Las Vegas Raiders (3-2)
  3. Denver Broncos (2-3)
  4. Los Angeles Chargers (1-4)

Week 7 Games

  • Chiefs at Broncos – Sunday (3:25 CST)
  • Jaguars at Chargers – Sunday (3:25 CST)
  • Buccaneers at Raiders – Sunday (7:20 CST)

There are only three AFC West games this weekend, but all four teams will play. The Chiefs are the only team in the division not to have a bye yet (though the Broncos’ was bumped up) and they’ll look to continue their dominance against Denver on Sunday. Meanwhile, LA should get their first win since Week 1, and the Raiders are in primetime against the Bucs.
