2. How does the rotation look in the final 4 games?

The rotation had its ups and downs, but for the most part, Royals fans were likely pleased with what they saw. Brady Singer was the pitcher fans got the most excited to watch, as he was a first round pick 2 years ago.

Singer, like the rest of the rotation, has had his fair share of ups and downs, but he’s taken his lumps and bounced back in a big way. The highlight for the former Florida Gator was when he went 8 scoreless innings and allowed 1 hit during that time and that was 7.2 innings into the game. It was a nice glimpse of what the future could look like for Singer.

Royals fans will see Kris Bubic on Thursday, Brad Keller on Friday, Carlos Hernandez on Saturday, and Singer will close the season out on Sunday. Bubic has been another fun pitcher to watch this and also came from that 2018 draft class. He has an ERA under 4 as of now, so hopefully he finishes the season strong so it can stay that way.

Keller has been the ace the Royals have been searching for and definitely showed flashes of that throughout the season with the highlight coming when he threw a scoreless complete game against the Pirates earlier this month.

Hernandez is a young pitcher, but he’s looked good in limited opportunities, throwing 13 innings so far and posting a 3.46 ERA. He started 2 games and has appeared in 4 total. His highlight came in his debut when he pitched a scoreless 3.2 innings of relief. Not bad for a rookie in his first ever game as a big leaguer.

It’ll be interesting to see how this starting rotation looks in the final 4 games of the season.
