What did we learn about the Kansas City Chiefs?

We only had 3 AFC West games this week due to the Chiefs and Chargers playing each other and the KC Chiefs should be fortunate that they’re not 1-1 and sitting in third place in the division right now. They deserved to lose to the Chargers on Sunday because the offense was anemic and the defense was suddenly allergic to tackling.

Injuries played a big part in why the Chiefs were so rusty on Sunday, as they were without Alex Okafor, Khalen Saunders, and Charvarius Ward at kickoff and then throughout the course of the game lost Frank Clark, Anthony Hitchens, and Damien Wilson at one point or another. The linebacker position is a real problem for Kansas City and needs to be a focal point in the draft next year.

What we learned about the Chiefs this week is that they’re going to have bad games and that’s okay. It’s going to happen sometimes. The important thing here is that the Chiefs were having arguably the worst game they’ve had since Mahomes took over at quarterback and still managed to win the game.

Oh, we also re-learned that Harrison Butker is a boss, kicking 2 58-yard field goals. Well, 3 actually. Long story.

Next up for the defending champs: They’ll travel to Baltimore for a date with the Ravens on Monday Night Football. That could be the game of the year, so let’s hope the Chiefs come out on top.
