The Chiefs are in an interesting spot at wide receiver going into next season. They had one of the most talented wide receiver corps overall last season, but there is a good chance that they could lose two of their top for receivers from last season this offseason.

Demarcus Robinson is a free agent and Sammy Watkins has a massive cap number for this season, making him a possible cap casualty. If the Chiefs lose one or both of those players – which appears likely – they will need to add some wide receiver depth this offseason.

The XFL has a few options at wide receiver, who have a shot to make it in the NFL. Cam Phillips is probably my favorite of the top XFL receivers. He has been dominant so far this season, winning the XFL’s Star of the Week two out of the first three weeks after putting up two hat tricks in a row.

Phillips is also leading the league in receiving yards and touchdowns. He constantly creates separation despite not having blazing speed and he has solid hands. He likely would never be a star in the NFL, but he could come in and provide depth to the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver corp.
