6. Second Half’s First Possession

The Chiefs had a chance to really bolster their lead at the start of the second half when they received the ball with a 21-17 lead. Instead, the team’s ensuing possession stalled after 10 plays and just 37 yards gained due to Hill’s aforementioned drop.

7. Darwin’s Posterior

This has gotta be on Mahomes, right? He fired a quick pass to rookie running back Darwin Thompson who had absolutely zero time to turn around for it. Instead, the pass nailed him in his caboose and fell incomplete.

Yes, I’m being picky here, but that’s the second time in as many games that Mahomes has thrown a pass like this. He and his running backs need to get on the same page about these particular routes.

8. Henry’s Untouched Score

On a direct snap, Derrick Henry basically ran up the middle, untouched, for a touchdown. Gotta put a hit on the ball carrier that close to the end zone.

9. Surprised by the Totally Unsurprising Fake Punt

Of course, it ended up not mattering, but the Chiefs left completely wide open Amani Hooker, who caught the pass from punter Brett Kern and gained 28 yards. Four plays later, the Titans scored a touchdown, and the game remained in reach–albeit only slightly.

10. An Uncovered Offensive Tackle

Maybe cover the tackle-eligible receiver? This is a team run by Mike Vrabel, remember, a former linebacker who snagged a dozen touchdown passes during his days with the Patriots.
