Hunter Henry is among the league’s best tight ends when he is on the field.

Los Angeles Chargers starting tight end and current successor of Charger great Antonio Gates is finally healthy and taking the league by storm. Hunter Henry, listed at 6’5” and 250 pounds, is cementing himself as one of LA’s top pass catchers on the team.

After missing most of the 2018 season due to an ACL tear and four games this season from fracture in his left knee, Henry has returned back to the lineup.

Prior to his setback this season, he had four receptions and 60 yards in week one match-up versus the Indianapolis Colts. Since coming back in week six, Henry has been the go to guy for quarterback Phillip Rivers.

Through the past five weeks his stat line looks as follows:

  • Targets: 40
  • Receptions: 29
  • Yards: 358
  • Touchdowns: 3

Over that time Hunter Henry has accounted for 24 percent of the target share, 27 percent of receptions and yards, and 43 percent of passing touchdowns. Needless to say, Henry has been a huge part of the Chargers offense since returning to the field and the Chiefs will need to make him a focal point to shut down on Monday night.
