WHAT DID WE LEARN ABOUT THE CHARGERS?

Just when it looked like the Los Angeles Chargers might turn things around, they went out and stunk it up against the Raiders. Now it’s worth noting that the game was close, but the Bolts couldn’t get out of their own way, and ultimately missed out on a chance to sit at .500 on the year.

Philip Rivers might be on his last leg with the Chargers and it wouldn’t be shocking if that were the case. He threw three interceptions on Thursday night in Oakland and the Chargers went on to lose 26-24 to their divisional foe. He was also sacked five times and barely threw for over 200 yards.

The Chargers run game has taken off the past few weeks, however, with Melvin Gordon rushing for over 100 yards and a touchdown. What looked to be a disappointing season for Gordon and company has turned around recently and that’s not a good sign for the Chiefs, who LA faces next week.

Melvin Ingram had two sacks against the Raiders, who have a very good offensive line, so just imagine how much he and Joey Bosa are going to eat against the Chiefs next week. Not looking forward to that one.

At this point, the Chargers are very much a “meh” team, but they have a chance to stay afloat next week by knocking off the Chiefs, who they face in Mexico City on Monday Night Football.
