WHAT DID WE LEARN ABOUT THE CHIEFS?

What we learned about the Kansas City Chiefs this week is that they’re not a legitimate Super Bowl contender. I’m sorry if that hurts your feelings, but it’s the truth.

Now, yes, the Chiefs could totally still win the AFC West, but more than likely, they’ll be one and done in the playoffs. They surrendered over 180 yards rushing to Derrick Henry (can he go away already?) and allowed freaking Ryan Tannehill of all players to make big time throws in big time moments. The Titans continued to have KC’s number, winning it 35-32.

The loss wasn’t solely on the defense, but rather on special teams, who botched two field goals and Mecole Hardman also fielded a punt from his own three yard line. I can’t make this stuff up, folks.

The Chiefs were less than two minutes away from going 7-3 and getting a big win on the road in Patrick Mahomes‘ return, but they blew it. Andy Reid had a classic Andy Reid time management/dumb decision making kind of game, and it cost the Chiefs a win.

Kansas City will try to rebound in week 11 against the Chargers on Monday Night Football in Mexico City. This game is a must win for the Chiefs and they put themselves in that situation.
