Four More Wide Receivers & the Tight Ends

Demarcus Robinson, Wide Receiver: B-

Against the Jaguars, he had a catch for zero yards. In Week 2, he had a career day against the Raiders with six receptions (on six targets) for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Since, he’s caught seven passes on 13 attempts for 78 yards and one touchdown.

Mecole Hardman, Wide Receiver: C+

The second-round pick out of Georgia has played well at times, like his 83-yard touchdown catch-and-run against Baltimore, while completely disappearing at others, like against Detroit when he caught two passes for nine yards.

Byron Pringle, Wide Receiver: C+

This former Kansas State Wildcat has two receptions for 20 yards, but he did return two kickoffs last week for 41 yards.

De’Anthony Thomas, Supposedly an Offensive Skill Player: D

Didn’t get this signing when it happened, and I still don’t. Wouldn’t be surprised if Thomas doesn’t last the season.

Travis Kelce, Tight End: A+

Quietly brilliant, is Kelce. He’s on pace to set a career-high (and record for a tight end) in receiving yards. He’s only found the end zone once, but those scores will come. Just his presence on the field changes things, as evidence by his getting double-teamed by the Lions on the Chiefs’ final drive on the fourth down where Mahomes scrambled for a first down.

Blake Bell & Deon Yelder, Tight Ends: C+

They aren’t called upon often, but when they are, they play…competently. Purely fine.
