START ‘EM – QB

26. . Quarterback. Ravens. Lamar Jackson. 1. player

Let’s just say it; The Miami Dolphins are clearly tanking and if they win more than three or four games this year (even that’s a stretch), then something with their tanking process has gone terribly awry.

Because the Dolphins are so bad on both sides of the ball, that bodes nicely for the Baltimore Ravens, who get to face the Fins in the season opener. It also bodes well for Lamar Jackson, who could be a nice under the radar option in fantasy football this year.

Despite going 6-1 as a starter in the regular season last year, a lot of people are doubting Jackson’s abilities in year two. With his running ability and the Dolphins being a complete mess, Jackson has a nice opportunity to put up some points this weekend.

SIT ‘EM – QB

Quarterback. Falcons. Matt Ryan. 2. player. 44.

Matt Ryan is typically pretty reliable in fantasy football, but he has a tough match-up for his season opener. The Falcons face the Vikings in Minnesota and that defense is gnarly.

The Vikings defense was especially good at home last year, allowing just four touchdown passes on their home turf. While Ryan has all kinds of weapons at his disposal, the Vikings defense is one that can stifle even the hottest of offenses.

Ryan isn’t a surefire Sit ‘Em candidate, but I’d definitely tread lightly with him this weekend against what should be a tough defense.
