THAT’S A LOTTA PRIMETIME!

It wasn’t long ago when Chiefs fans were aching to see their team play under the bright lights of primetime. We slowly, but surely started to see more primetime games for the Chiefs as the team improved.

Last year with Patrick Mahomes was the turning point though for sure. People love Mahomes and want to see him play, even if they’re not Chiefs fans.

Well, fortunately, the Chiefs have five scheduled games in primetime, meaning fans will get their wish when it comes to watching the reigning MVP on the biggest stage.

The Chiefs have three games scheduled for Sunday Night Football, one for Monday Night Football, and one for Thursday Night Football. Two of the Sunday night games will be at Arrowhead (week five versus the Colts and week eight versus the Packers) and the other is a week 16 battle in Chicago against the Bears.

The Monday night match-up is in Mexico City against the Chargers and counts as a home game for the Bolts. The Thursday night game takes place in Denver, but at least it’s earlier in the season.

It’s nice to see the Chiefs getting respect from the NFL after getting shafted on primetime in years past. Sure, some games might get flexed out of primetime, but we could also see MORE Chiefs match-ups moved to Sunday night depending on how things play out.
