BALTIMORE RAVENS (FOUR SEED)

The four seed, and AFC North winner, is the Baltimore Ravens, who for many weeks looked to be a lock to secure the six seed and have to go on the road in the first round. Once rookie Lamar Jackson took over the quarterbacking duties, however, the offense changed completely and now they’re hosting a playoff game.

The Ravens host the Chargers in the first game on Sunday and it’s the match-up I’m most looking forward to out of all of the Wild Card games. The first battle a few weeks ago was such a blast to watch!

The Ravens won the first go-around, but it was close throughout. Baltimore broke away late in the game with their defense making plays and it was a win that really put them on the map. They went into Los Angeles and crushed a team that was coming off a huge win.

Baltimore is very much a defensive-minded team, but  Jackson has made a difference on offense. He’s gone 6-1 as the starter and got the Ravens to the playoffs, something that Joe Flacco hadn’t been able to do in five years.

The Ravens took KC down to the wire a few weeks ago, as the game went to overtime. Were it not for a crazy no-look pass from Patrick Mahomes on fourth and forever, the Ravens win that game and the Chiefs are likely headed back to Baltimore this weekend for a Wild Card match-up. Yikes!

Fortunately, the Chiefs pulled out all the stops and won that game. Still – If Baltimore can knock off the Chargers and get to Arrowhead in either the Divisional Round or Championship Round (it depends on what Houston does), it’ll go down to the bitter end.
