GEHRIG DIETER

When it comes to players you’ve heard about, but don’t know much about, Gehrig Dieter probably makes that list. A former Bowling Green standout and later Alabama wide receiver, Dieter went undrafted last year and spent all of 2017 on the Chiefs practice squad.

Now, in year two, Dieter looks to actually make the 53-man roster and he upped his chances at doing so on Friday. Dieter only had two catches, but both were pretty important. One went for a first down on third and nine while the other was a beautifully thrown touchdown pass from Chad Henne.

If Dieter does make the final roster, he won’t be a starter, but he saw some opportunities on special teams on Friday and that could be his role. He’d also be used sparingly on the offense throughout the season.

I’m pulling for Gehrig Dieter to make the team and as of now, his stock is definitely rising.
