3) Core players returning from injury

Despite losing a few major players on the roster, the Kansas City Chiefs bring back a few names onto the team, after suffering season ending injuries last season. Some have a bigger role than others, but for the sake of chemistry, it is important to have everyone healthy.

Eric Berry

Perhaps one of the most loved Chief of all time, Eric Berry looks to come back stronger than ever before, after suffering an injury in week one against the New England Patriots. I have plenty of faith in Berry, as he has been through it all, and remained the same person throughout.

Berry is the anchor on the defense. His veteran presence, and his strong personality to be his best no matter what, is contagious. The team desperately needed that type of support on the field last season.

This season the Chiefs are so lucky to have him in the roster. This season Berry will look to stay healthy, and be the guy the team needs more than ever.

With the rebuild on defense, the Chiefs will be one of the younger defenses in the NFL. With Berry’s leadership there for the young guys, there is no reason why this defense will never shape up to be one of the best, in the future.
