3) Core players returning from injury (Continued)

Dee Ford

A former first round pick, Dee Ford has spent most of his inconsistent NFL career with an injury. When Ford is healthy, he looks like a great football player. However, keeping him healthy is a problem.

Ford spent most of the 2017 season with an injury, all while the defense needed his edge rushing presence desperately. It will be interesting to see how his body holds up throughout this upcoming season.

If Ford stays healthy this season, the Chiefs defense will look tons better than what most people think. But, if he injures himself once again, look for either Tanoh Kpassagnon, or Breeland Speaks to fill the void.

Spencer Ware

After a season ending PCL tear during the preseason, running back Spencer Ware will be a reliable back-up to the rookie phenom in Kareem Hunt.

About this time last season, Ware was projected to be the starter with Charcandrick West, and Hunt as his back-up. However, with his injury, Hunt took his place, and as we all know, he was a stud.

Ware should make the roster, but if he never fully recovers, he may end up being cut. But, let’s just say he does make the roster. Ware won’t be the starter, but could you imagine the duo of Hunt and Ware? That is something I am very excited for.

Chris Conley

Mr. Reliable Chris Conley’s season was cut short last year with an achilles injury in week five against the Houston Texans. Now, this season Conley will be a vital piece to the offense, with hopes of him remaining healthy.

As stated earlier, the Kansas City Chiefs offensive firepower is quite ridiculous. But, Conley’s presence will be a must-need.

Conley has the experience, and the potential to send this offense over the top. Whether if he can do it or not, simply relies on him, and his health.
