BYRON PRINGLE

While we already touched on one wide receiver who is lesser known, but has a chance at making the roster, Byron Pringle is another name to watch for. Yes, Pringle is a wide receiver, but where he could make his presence known for the Chiefs is on special teams.

Pringle spent two years as a return man for Kansas State and during that time returned two kickoffs for touchdowns. The Chiefs have shown that they value good special teams players and Pringle fits into that mold perfectly.

As a receiver, Pringle has the intangibles, but didn’t attend a school in which the quarterbacks were great passers. Pringle still managed to finish his college football career with 1,355 yards and ten touchdowns, which isn’t shabby for not having great passing quarterbacks.

If Pringle can dazzle the coaching staff on special teams in particular this summer, he could definitely steal a spot from someone on the roster. I’m thinking he could be De’Anthony Thomas‘ replacement, but we’ll have to wait and see for sure.
