Wildcats will face Loyola in the Elite Eight for the first ever 9 vs 11 match.

The Wildcats have not been a well-liked program this tournament. They have an even bigger chance to become an even larger villain when they face Loyola in the Elite Eight. Exactly one week from the day the Wildcats defeated the ultimate Cinderella team in UMBC, Kansas State will have a chance to knock off the remaining Cinderella team in Loyola.

Loyola defeated Nevada to reach this spot earlier in the night, before Kansas State punched their ticket. This Loyola team is starting to play out like a Hollywood script. In the win, they scored a whopping 46 points in the paint.

The most famous fan of Loyola, Sister Jean, has already sent out a warning shot to the Wildcats. She has become a celebrity in her own right as the 98-year-old chaplain for the Ramblers.

"Here we come, next team, whoever you are."

What makes this team so dangerous is that they don’t seem to realize they aren’t as good as the teams they are playing. There is no fear, only determination and faith. Head coach Peter Moser has done a heck of a job during this tournament.

If the Wildcats can play their game, and not worry about what the Ramblers are trying to do offensively, they should be able to move on. Defensively, they are playing as well as anyone,if not better. The question mark will be on offense. Can they make shots, can Dean Wade contribute?
