Kansas City Chiefs: Report Card vs Denver Broncos in Week 17

I’ll admit I used to be one of the many (don’t lie, you’re out there) who didn’t care for Albert Wilson and didn’t see him amounting to much for the Chiefs. This season he’s been a legitimate weapon on offense and he and Mahomes appeared to have great chemistry.

Wilson was on fire in Denver, grabbing ten passes for 147 yards and the Broncos had no answers for stopping him. No one really expected Wilson’s injuries to be a big deal for the Chiefs earlier this season, but he really has been one of the team’s best players on offense down the stretch.

Albert Wilson will hit free agency this offseason and if the Chiefs are smart, they’ll do their best to retain him. After seeing Mahomes and Wilson clicking on the field, no one is going to want to see Wilson sign elsewhere this offseason.

Let’s hope Alex Smith can get Wilson involved against Tennessee next weekend.
