Mr. Playmaker

With a natural ability to make something out of nothing, Mahomes displayed his field vision by making things happen no matter the circumstance. When a play seemed dead, Mahomes revived it. Not to disrespect Smith, but as of now, it seems Mahomes play-making ability is far above Smith’s.

Mahomes uses his field vision and speed to find his open receiver. He does not mind sitting in the pocket because he tends to find a receiver breaking free for a positive gain. This is something Chiefs fans should get used to. Improvising is something Smith lacks, so this attribute is something to look forward to for Mahomes behind center.

When entering his first crunch-time drive for the Chiefs, Mahomes helped the Chiefs get into field goal range for teammate Harrison Butker to seal the deal. He drove down the field and the plays he made during this crucial drive were simply draw dropping. I will get into detail later about this drive, but it is a great example of why Mahomes playmaking is special.

It took only one game for Mahomes to show what he has in store. When it comes to playmaking, this was the perfect game to prove it. His playmaking is something to keep an eye on, but more importantly, his it’s something to get used to. Getting used to such a talent should not be too hard, if you ask me. So, prepared to be spoiled Chiefs Kingdom.
