Wish # 3 – A Kareem Hunt Rookie of the Year Award

The outstanding rookie in Kareem Hunt already has the hearts of the Chiefs faithful. His tackle-shedding, tough running, and love for the game makes Hunt an unforgettable player in the NFL with only one season under his belt in the NFL.

As of now, Saints rookie running back Alvin Kamara seems to be winning the race for the rookie accomplishment. Hunt is not far behind though and if it weren’t for a few dud weeks, it’d be a very tight race between the two.

Hunt’s record-breaking rookie debut gave him a head start for the challenge of rookie of the year. The unruly slump for the Chiefs gave Hunt a little standstill for the award.

No, the award does not mean a whole lot, but for Hunt to win it, as a Toledo University prospect, makes a pretty awesome story. Despite a decline in stats, Hunt certainly deserves a shot at the award. If he does not win it, expect Hunt to be far from fazed. Hunt will still be the Kareem Hunt we all know.

To win the award would be a privilege, but to lose gives Hunt a reason to work even harder. So, in the end, it is a win-win situation for the rookie phenom.
