PRO NUMBER ONE – A POLAR OPPOSITE

The frustrating aspect when Smith is struggling is his style of play. For example, if the team needs seven yards on a critical third down, Smith will throw his far-too-commom check down, for a gain of two.

In fact, in Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills, Smith did not throw a pass over 20 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. During that game, there were more than enough third and 15 plays, yet Smith was unable to deliver deep down field.

Inserting Mahomes to solve this problem is the right move to make. For example, the video clip below shows where Mahomes shines the most – using his unbelievable arm-strength.

If this video clip did not make you want Mahomes on the field right now, something is wrong with you. Hardly ever do you see Smith make these type of throws. So basically, yes, Mahomes and Smith are polar opposites on the football field.

With Mahomes and Smith being completely different on the field, it makes many fans want Mahomes on the field as soon as possible. People are fed up with Smith’s style of play, as they should be.

To end the pain and frustration from watching “check-down Smith”, starting Mahomes seems like a logical solution, based on this viewpoint of being complete opposites.
