Smith’s 2017 career is nothing short of impressive

The reason I truly think Smith is an easy target for blame is because of the “lack of success” that has come forth in Kansas City. Now, before you even say that, or think it, remember this: If you have been a Chiefs fan even through the bad times, the Smith era has been one for the books.

Sure the team keeps falling short in the playoffs – sure Smith can get too conservative on his passes – sure Smith can make you want to pull your hair out at times. But honestly, Smith has turned the tables in Kansas City, and Smith is still on track for an MVP caliber season.

One interception in 2017 so far, six wins against nine tough opponents, an 18:1 touchdown to interception ratio – and this guy takes all of the blame? You have got to be kidding me. From me, I tip my hat to you Smith. Bravo on an excellent season thus far. Smith is still my starting quarterback.
