Russell Wilson hasn’t had the season that dreams are made of, but he started to show signs of life last week against the Giants. Danger Russ threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns in that game and gave his fantasy owners hope for the future.
This week, Wilson’s Seahawks will host the Houston Texans, whose defense is without Whitney Mercilus and J.J. Watt for the season. The Texans defense has struggled without those guys and Wilson should be able to capitalize.
The Texans defense has been particularly picked on while on the road, surrendering five touchdown passes and over 300 yards in each of their road games, this according to Michael Fabiano of NFL.com. That’s a recipe for a Russell Wilson breakout party and owners should be jumping to start him this week.
With the Seahawks starting to hit their stride, look for Wilson to have a big game on Sunday.
